The prostate is an essential organ of the human body. It has many functions and is very important to the human body, especially in terms of hormone secretion. The prostate is also a relatively fragile organ and is very prone to some diseases, such as prostate nodules, prostate inflammation, etc. Prostate nodules are a relatively common type of disease, and people are not very familiar with them. Let's introduce what prostate nodules are. Prostate nodules are not a disease. Some are benign nodules, some are malignant nodules, some are hyperplastic nodules, and some are inflammatory nodules. Most of the time, when performing ultrasound examinations, B-ultrasound indicates the presence of prostate nodules. However, it is very difficult to distinguish the benignity or malignancy of prostate nodules by ultrasound alone. 1. Prostatic hyperplasia nodules When the prostate gland is hyperplastic, the inner and outer glands of the prostate often show hyperplastic nodules, and ultrasound often shows enhanced echoes. At the same time, ultrasound indicates that the prostate volume is enlarged. Clinically, patients may show progressive urination difficulties such as frequent urination and urgency, and the prostate specific antigen (PSA) test is usually within the normal range. 2. Prostate cancer nodules When a hypoechoic nodule is found during prostate ultrasound examination, further examination and clear diagnosis are required, which must be combined with the patient's PSA level. 3. Prostatic inflammatory nodules When prostatitis occurs, nodules can also be found inside the prostate. They are usually discovered during a rectal digital examination, but generally B-ultrasound will show uneven prostate echoes. When patients undergo routine examination of prostate fluid, elevated white blood cell levels can be found in the prostate fluid. It is worth noting that benign prostatic hyperplasia nodules are mostly found in the prostate gland area, and malignant low-echo nodules are mostly found in the peripheral zone of the prostate. It is inaccurate to rely solely on low or strong echoes to distinguish between benign and malignant prostate nodules, and it is often necessary to rely on PSA levels and magnetic resonance imaging results. If the patient's PSA level is between 4ng/ml and 10ng/ml, the possibility of prostate tumors needs to be considered. If it exceeds 10, it should be highly suspected. However, these cannot confirm prostate tumors, and further sexual prostate puncture for pathological examination is required to clarify. |
