Sperm is translucent

Sperm is translucent

Male semen is a liquid that is discharged through the ejaculatory duct when the nerves are highly excited. Normally, it is a milky white or grayish white viscous liquid. This semen is also a little transparent, so don't worry, this is all healthy. The following article introduces the normal state of semen and the examination items that need to be done when checking semen. If you want to know more, you can take a look.

If it is transparent and the transparent part is colorless, then the amount of ejaculation should be relatively large and not too sticky. This situation is normal and a very healthy sign.

If it is pure milky white, then it is relatively viscous and the amount of ejaculation is not large. This is a slow liquefaction of semen, which needs to be liquefied outside the body. This is normal, but it is also a normal phenomenon.

If the transparent part is a turbid yellow, then you have to be careful, because it means you have dead sperm. But if it happens once or twice, don't worry, it may be because you haven't released it for too long. If it happens too much, go to the hospital.

If your semen is as thick as jelly after ejaculation, it means you need to drink more water

Check items

(1) General characteristics examination includes determination of semen volume, color, viscosity, odor, and liquefaction time.

(2) Microscopic examination includes examination of sperm survival rate, sperm motility, sperm concentration, sperm morphology, and counts of other non-sperm cells such as spermatocytes, red blood cells, and white blood cells.

(3) Chemical examination to determine the pH value of semen; the content of fructose, zinc, botulinum, and citric acid in semen; and the activity of acid phosphatase, lactate dehydrogenase, and sperm apical enzyme in semen.

(4) Immunological examination to detect antisperm antibodies, immunosuppressants, immunoglobulins, etc. in seminal plasma.

(5) Microbiological examination: Smear or culture the semen to check for microorganisms in the semen, such as bacteria, mycoplasma, chlamydia, syphilis and viruses.

(6) Sperm function tests mainly evaluate the sperm penetration and motility.
