What is the cause of dry glans?

The male genitals are very special, especially the glans penis. Because the glans penis is particularly sensitive, it is easily irritated, which brings some problems to men's health. Among them, dry glans penis is one of the common problems. It causes men to have genital discomfort and affects the normal function of genitals over time. Let's take a look at what causes dry glans penis in men? I hope men can understand it.

Leading to dry occlusive glansitis. Dry balanitis is a more serious pathological injury of balanitis. Guidance: It destroys the physiological structure of the foreskin and glans, affects sexual life and aesthetics, and is also a common factor in premature ejaculation.

Sicca obstructive glansitis is a disease that occurs on the glans and foreskin, characterized by progressive sclerosis and atrophy. It is also called sclerosing and atrophic lichen of the glans foreskin, sicca glansitis, penile dryness, and obstructive glansitis sicca. It is a manifestation of sclerosing lichen. The clinical characteristics are that the glans, foreskin, and frenulum gradually shrink and harden, and are pale white. The glans is dry and smooth, the foreskin is tightened, and the urethra is narrowed, causing difficulty in urination. It is common in people aged 15 to 50 who suffer from phimosis and glansitis but have not undergone circumcision.

Most of the skin lesions are located on the inner side of the foreskin, glans, urethral opening, coronal sulcus, and occasionally the penis. In the early stage of the disease, it is chronic glansitis, with infiltrated and hypertrophic skin, brown-red color, desquamation on the surface, and sometimes hemorrhagic blisters. Later, tooth-colored white spots appear on the glans and urethral opening, and the tissues in the lesion site atrophy and fibrosis, losing the normal spongy sensation, and can cause urethral stenosis, foreskin atrophy and adhesion, generally without spontaneous symptoms.

treatment:

The main purpose of treatment is to relieve symptoms, reduce discomfort and prevent deterioration. External application of corticosteroid ointment or intradermal injection can relieve local symptoms. Foreskin stenosis can be treated with phimosis. Foreskin stenosis can be treated with urethral dilation.

Prognosis:

The disease is unlikely to worsen under proper treatment. Studies have shown that the overall malignancy rate is 5%, but the malignant disease progresses rapidly. Therefore, early-stage patients need to be followed up once a month for a total of 3 months. If there are persistent ulcers or new ulcers, they need to see a doctor immediately.
