Is prostate disease hereditary?

Is prostate disease hereditary?

The prostate is the largest organ structure in the male reproductive organs. It occupies a very important position in the male sexual organs and is also a male-specific organ. Therefore, when the prostate has abnormal symptoms, it is very likely to endanger the male's reproductive function and lead to the possibility of infertility. The prostate is not only closely related to the male's sexual function, but also controls the male urinary system. Once the prostate is affected, the excretion function will also show abnormal symptoms. So is the prostate caused by genetics?

Is prostatitis hereditary?

Prostatitis is not hereditary. The main causes of prostatitis are:

1. Bad habits. Many bad habits of men may lead to prostatitis, such as excessive sex and masturbation, which cause congestion of the sexual organs and enlargement of the prostate tissue due to prolonged congestion. Frequent alcoholism or long-term drinking, and eating spicy and other irritating foods can stimulate the prostate. Lack of physical exercise, easy hardening of the arteries, and poor blood circulation in the prostate can also lead to this disease.

2. Microbial infection. Many patients with prostatitis get sick due to microbial infection. Various microorganisms such as bacteria, protozoa, fungi, viruses, etc. can become sources of infection for prostatitis, among which bacteria are the most common, such as gonococci and non-gonococci. There are three main ways for bacteria to invade: direct spread. When men urinate, urine passes through the prostate, and bacteria in the urine can directly enter the prostate, causing prostate infection. Because antibiotics are used for treatment, Chinese medicine that clears heat and dampness, and promotes blood circulation and removes blood stasis is used at the same time. Blood infection. Clinically, it is found that more than 90% of bacterial prostatitis is caused by microbial infection. Lymphatic infection, such as lower urinary tract infection and inflammation of the colon and rectum, can infect the prostate through the lymphatic ducts and cause inflammation.

How to treat prostatitis

There are four conventional methods for treating prostatitis: drug therapy, Western drug therapy mainly plays an anti-inflammatory and antibacterial role, while Chinese medicine plays a role in promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis. Physical therapy, such as hot water bath, microwave, laser, direct current drug delivery, magnetic acupuncture, ultrasound, mechanical vibration, etc. Tube flushing method, after the drug is poured into the tube, it is inserted into the body to flush the prostate. Diet therapy, drink less alcohol, do not eat spicy food, avoid sitting for a long time, do not have sex too early, and do not masturbate.

Although prostatitis is easy to treat, it is extremely difficult to cure and the condition is prone to recurrence. It is recommended that patients do not go to the pharmacy to buy medicine on their own, because some medicines can only relieve certain symptoms in the short term, and long-term use will have side effects on the human body. Self-care methods include: eating less spicy food, avoiding overwork, exercising appropriately, keeping warm, and having a moderate sex life.

After suffering from prostatitis, the cause should be identified first, and then treatment should be carried out. According to the test results and the nature of prostatitis, sensitive drugs should be selected, sufficient dosage, and treatment should be carried out according to the course of treatment. The three most commonly used drugs are antibiotics (fluoroquinolone drugs such as ciprofloxacin, levofloxacin and lomefloxacin, etc.), α-receptor blockers (terazosin, alfuzosin, doxazosin, tamsulosin and naftopidil, etc.) and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory analgesics. Other drugs (plant preparations, M-receptor blockers, antidepressants and anti-anxiety drugs) also have varying degrees of efficacy in relieving symptoms.
