What are the symptoms of male impotence?

I believe many people know that men are very concerned about their sexual ability, because the stronger a man's sexual ability is, the more satisfied the sexual needs of women will be. But many people know that some people will have impotence in their lives. This has a great impact on men's self-esteem. So how can we judge whether we have the symptoms of impotence? Let us learn about these specific methods through the following article.

Clinical manifestations

1. Inability to achieve an erection, weak erection, or inability to maintain an erection to complete sexual intercourse.

2. Often combined with other sexual dysfunctions such as premature ejaculation, decreased libido, abnormal ejaculation, and lack of orgasm.

3. Short or deformed penis, cryptorchidism, atestis, microtestis, hydrocele, varicocele, giant hydrocele, oblique hernia, etc.

4. Endocrine abnormalities such as hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, or breast development.

5. Have a history of medication, trauma, or surgery.

Notes

First, ensure privacy, maintain confidentiality, and build a relationship with the patient. No medical condition affects men more than impotence, causing potential frustration, humiliation, and damage to self-esteem. Help the patient feel comfortable discussing his sexuality. This starts with "do you feel uncomfortable with your own sexual behavior" and adopting an accepting attitude towards others' sexual experiences and preferences.

Prepare the patient for screening tests for hormonal disorders and color Doppler ultrasonography to measure penile blood pressure to rule out inadequate blood flow. Other tests include voiding function tests, nerve conduction testing, nocturnal penile engorgement evaluation, and a psychologic examination.

Treatment of psychogenic impotence may involve counseling of the patient and his partner, while treatment of organic impotence focuses on possibly reversing the cause. Other forms of treatment include surgical vascular repair, drugs to induce erection, surgical repair of venous leaks, and penile prostheses. The patient is encouraged to maintain follow-up and treatment for the underlying condition.

Preventive measures

1. Actively participate in physical exercise to improve physical fitness.

2. If you are physically weak, you should increase your nutrition appropriately.

3. If a man has impotence, the woman should be more considerate to him and give him spiritual comfort, otherwise the degree of impotence will be aggravated. Both men and women can use the method of sexual concentration, that is, both parties touch certain parts of each other's body, focus on touching the sensitive areas of the body without sexual intercourse. After the penis is slightly erect, do not rush to have sexual intercourse. Repeat this many times. Only when the sexual desire is concentrated and erected enough, take the position of woman on top and have sexual intercourse.

4. Quit smoking, drinking, masturbation, reduce the frequency of sexual intercourse to alleviate concerns, and adapt to medication and other treatments to gradually recover.

5. Anyone who suffers from impotence due to mental factors or unknown reasons can undergo comprehensive prevention and treatment under the guidance of a doctor. Do not abuse drugs or aphrodisiacs to avoid delaying treatment.
