The blood vessels under the glans are bulging

The blood vessels under the glans are bulging

If you find that the blood vessels under the glans are bulging, you must pay attention to it. There are many reasons for this situation. The most common one may be caused by penile lymphangitis, which is also a common inflammation. You must pay attention to the cleanliness of your private parts. You should carefully clean the glans and foreskin every day, especially if the foreskin is too long. It is best to perform a circumcision. Let us learn about this aspect.

The blood vessels under the glans penis are bulging

The possibility of penile lymphangitis is high, which is mostly caused by inflammation in the glans penis and other parts. Sometimes the inflammation may not be very obvious, or the lymphangitis may still exist even after it has healed.

1. Pay attention to hygiene, wash every day, turn over the foreskin to wash off the smegma, drink plenty of water, do not eat spicy food, do not drink alcohol or smoke; 2. Do not have sexual intercourse before recovery, avoid erection, pay attention to rest, and do not stay up late; 3. Take levofloxacin and metronidazole orally for anti-inflammatory; 4. If there is no improvement in 3-5 days, go to the urology department of a regular hospital for treatment.

Disease Overview

This disease generally occurs after local abrasion caused by mild mechanical injury, masturbation and excessively frequent and excessively forceful sexual intercourse. Local trauma leads to obstruction of large lymphatic vessels in the subcutaneous tissue of the penis, resulting in local damage. Local infection of the penis is also related to this disease. It has been found that viral infections such as herpes simplex virus, chlamydia and tuberculosis can cause this disease. Recently, it has been found that condyloma acuminatum can cause sclerosing lymphangitis, suggesting that human papillomavirus may also be a cause of this disease. This disease is more common in young men aged 20 to 40. The most common site of occurrence is the coronal sulcus, followed by the back of the penis. Typical skin lesions are curved, raised cords that resemble earthworms, about 2 cm to 3.5 cm long, purple and shiny, translucent, slightly hard and cartilage-like, and can slide without adhering to the surface skin; generally there are no conscious symptoms or only mild pain. The course of the disease is self-limited, and most of them can be absorbed and disappear after 4 to 6 weeks, but some may take several years to disappear, and occasionally ulcers may form.

Treatment options

According to the cause of the disease, symptomatic treatment [antiviral treatment for virus-induced diseases, anti-inflammatory treatment for bacterial infections] can be self-healing. Hot compress can be applied when it hurts. Ultrasound, diathermy or ultraviolet irradiation can also be used for treatment. For patients who require treatment, local physical therapy can be used, and very few stubborn skin lesions can be surgically removed. The treatment status of penile sclerosing lymphangitis at home and abroad: 1. Injection of antibiotics and antibiotics has little or no effect. Because this disease is not an inflammatory disease. 2. External hormone ointment is ineffective and has great side effects - it will make the skin rough, and in severe cases it will become fish-scale-like. 3. Physical therapy methods such as hot compress, ultrasound, diathermy, ultraviolet irradiation, etc. are almost ineffective. 4. Surgical excision is traumatic, will delay work, is costly, and carries high risks (such as anesthesia accidents, bleeding during and after surgery, postoperative infection, scarring, penile curvature, inability to achieve an erection, etc.).
