White spots on the testicles

White spots on the testicles

Don't worry too much about white spots on the testicles. The most common reason is sebaceous gland hyperplasia, which is caused by not paying attention to personal hygiene and a certain amount of skin hyperplasia. For example, if the hair follicles are blocked and you don't pay attention to personal hygiene, this phenomenon may occur. It does not harm the body and does not require treatment, but you should pay attention to personal hygiene, drink more water, and eat more fruits and vegetables. Of course, it can also be treated with certain methods.

Clinical manifestations

It can be divided into precocious sebaceous hyperplasia and senile sebaceous hyperplasia. Precocious sebaceous hyperplasia usually occurs during the developmental period or between the ages of 20 and 30. The lesions are more likely to occur on the face, especially the mandible. They are 1-2 mm yellow papules that can aggregate into flakes. Some lesions have umbilical depressions in the center. Senile sebaceous hyperplasia can be single or multiple, and is more likely to occur on the forehead and cheeks. It is usually scattered, with hemispherical protrusions, sometimes lobed, with a diameter of 2-3 mm, soft texture, light yellow or yellow, and an umbilical depression is often seen in the center of the lesion. Histopathology shows that the hyperplastic sebaceous gland lobules are well differentiated.

How to treat

Then you need to take drugs that inhibit sebaceous gland hyperplasia, inhibit sebaceous gland secretion, and reduce epithelial cell keratinization. Commonly used drugs include isotretinoin capsules. The adult dosage is 1 capsule each time, 2 to 3 times a day. Or you can take retinoic acid capsules, 2 capsules each time, 3 times a day. Take it for two consecutive months as a course of treatment. The doctor can choose either one when applying.

Acne patients often have propionibacterium infection in their hair follicles. They can use antibiotics with anti-propionibacterium effects, such as meclocycline capsules, which are taken 2 to 3 times a day, 50 mg each time, for 8 weeks as a course of treatment. They also need to take anti-helminthic drugs, such as melamine tablets, 3 times a day, 1 tablet each time, and generally take 4 weeks as a course of treatment.

When taking the above-mentioned internal medicines, patients also need to use external medicines that inhibit sebaceous gland secretion and keratinization of hair follicles. Adapalene gel is an external medicine with the above-mentioned pharmacological effects. Patients can apply it once a day at night. At the same time, they also need to use external medicines with antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects, such as benzoyl peroxide solution (apply to the affected area 1 to 2 times a day, or use clindamycin solution, also apply to the affected area 1 to 2 times a day. The above-mentioned external medicines generally need to be used continuously for 6 to 8 weeks as a course of treatment.
