Once there is a problem with the male genitals, it will definitely cause great concern to male friends, and it is very easy to be associated with sexually transmitted diseases. In daily life, some men notice that there are flesh bumps on their male genitals. So, what is the reason for the flesh bumps on the glans penis? If there are small fleshy bumps on the glans penis, it is more likely that this condition is condyloma acuminatum. Condyloma acuminatum is caused by human papillomavirus infection, and is a genital tract infection characterized by proliferative damage to the genitals at the anus. Its main clinical symptoms are small red rashes on the skin at first, which can gradually grow and produce papillary and cauliflower-shaped growths. They are mostly produced on the glans penis, the skin of the genitals and the vulva, and can be multiple. Condyloma acuminatum is mainly transmitted through sexual behavior. A small number of patients may develop the disease by touching objects used by the patient, such as underwear, underpants, towels, bathtubs, toilet seats, etc. Clinical symptoms The disease often has no active symptoms, but some patients may experience local pain or itching. The basic damage is initially tiny dark red bumps of varying sizes, distributed singly or in clusters, moist and soft, nipple-like, cockscomb-shaped or cauliflower-shaped protrusions, bright red or dark gray, with pedicles at the roots, and prone to producing erosive exudate, which is easy to bleed when touched. Purulent secretions often accumulate in the gaps between skin lesions, causing a foul odor, and secondary infections are often caused by scratching. Due to continuous exposure to local moisture and chronic irritation, it usually grows rapidly. The disease often has no active symptoms, but some patients may experience local pain or itching. Sometimes it can turn into squamous cell carcinoma. The disease often occurs in the coronal sulcus, glans penis, prepuce is too long, frenulum, urethral opening, inside the urethral opening, male genital body and root, perineum, anal opening and inside the anus (duodenum), groin, etc. The risk period of male condyloma acuminatum is 3 weeks to 8 months, with an average of 3 months. It is common in sexually active young and middle-aged men, with the peak age of onset being 20 to 25 years old. Male patients with a current history of 3 to 5 months will develop the disease soon after sexual intercourse, while male patients with an average current history of 12 months will not develop the disease during sexual intercourse. Subclinical infection refers to changes that cannot be seen by the human eye in clinical medicine, but 3% to 5% acetic acid solution can be applied externally or on the face for 5 to 10 minutes to see the HPV-infected area turn white, which is the so-called "acetic acid whitening phenomenon". |
