Chlamydia is a type of prokaryotic organism that is smaller than bacteria and larger than viruses. It is widely distributed in nature, including some small animals and humans. It is the smallest and simplest cell in the world, 0.1-0.3μm. Several types of Chlamydia have been isolated from the human body, which are related to the reproductive system. The main type that can cause reproductive system diseases is Ureaplasma urealyticum, and the main transmission route is sexual contact transmission and mother-to-child transmission. Even if Chlamydia is detected in the urethra, it is not necessarily a patient: clinical epidemiological studies have shown that 34% of normal men can be isolated from Ureaplasma urealyticum. After the urogenital system is infected with Chlamydia, the symptoms caused are non-gonococcal urethritis in men and non-gonococcal urogenital inflammation in women. The main symptoms for men are itching, burning sensation and difficulty urinating at the urethral opening, and very few have frequent urination and urgency. The urethral opening is slightly swollen, and the secretion is thin. Some patients have no symptoms. The main symptoms for women are excessive leucorrhea, burning urine, or pelvic inflammatory disease, salpingitis, etc., which may cause infertility, miscarriage and ectopic pregnancy. Mycoplasma positive infection rate Chlamydia In some foreign scientific studies, mycoplasma positivity was isolated from 11% of asymptomatic soldiers, 11% of asymptomatic men in urban clinics, and 7% of asymptomatic college students. The mycoplasma positivity (CT) infection rate among pregnant women in rural groups in the United States is 9.0%; the CT infection rate among pregnant women in low-income countries in Spain is 10.1%; the CT infection rate among pregnant women in Vestsjaelland, the Netherlands is 2.9%; the CT infection rate among pregnant women in Sao Paulo, Brazil is 9%; and the CT infection rate among pregnant women in Martinique, the Netherlands is 26.7%. The CT infection rate among pregnant women in different countries is different, which may be related to the different testing reagents, methods and time in different parts of the country. Mycoplasma positive test method The laboratory testing methods for Chlamydia include: histological examination, Chlamydia modeling, antigen testing, serological methods and biological methods. Studies on the Ureaplasma MB antigen have shown that the MB antigen is a key outer membrane antigen that is identified during Ureaplasma infection, and has species specificity, including blood cell-specific and cross-reactive antigenic determinants. The genetic gene of the MB antigen is more than 1200 bases long, the N-terminal 1/3 is a traditional region, including group-specific antigenic determinants: the C-terminal 2/3 is a variable region composed of repeated coding sequences, including type-specific antigenic determinants, which plays a key role in the scientific research of the antigen and the pathogenesis and immune system of the disease. MB antigen is located on the surface of the Ureaplasma membrane, with the N-terminus fixed on the membrane, leaving the C-terminal repeat region exposed to the microenvironment surrounding the microorganism. The N-terminus can serve as the basis for its clustering analysis, while the C-terminus is most likely to first encounter the host's defense system and produce a key antigenic response, which is the basis for understanding its pathogenesis and immune system. The relationship between MB antigen and disease, as well as its role in disease, also need to be further discussed. |
