Hypospadias is a common disease. Patients with hypospadias must undergo correction through surgery. Nowadays, surgery has made great progress and is no longer a traditional surgery. The wound after surgery is also relatively small and recovery is quick. After the surgery, patients basically have a successful correction. This will not only prevent the reproductive system from being affected, but also will not affect the normal reproductive system. Hypospadias must be corrected surgically. The purpose of surgery is: First, to correct the flexion deformity, the fibrous tissue on the ventral side of the penis needs to be removed and the penis completely straightened. Second, the urethra needs to be reshaped and its opening position should be as close to normal as possible. Indications for surgery: Except for the coronal groove type hypospadias, which can be corrected with or without surgery, the other types must be corrected with cervical surgery. Surgical method: According to statistics, there are more than 150 surgical methods. Different treatments should be performed according to the surgeon's skill, the patient's age and the development of the penis. Generally speaking, completing treatment at an early age can eliminate the psychological impact on the patient, but the younger the age, the less cooperative the patient is. In addition, the penis is small and difficult to operate, so the probability of surgical failure increases. Therefore, some people advocate staged surgery, that is, first remove the fibrous cord in childhood, correct the flexion deformity, and then perform stage II urethroplasty after the penis develops. Deformity correction: Surgery is the only effective method. Generally, it should be completed before school because the penis has grown larger, the child can actively cooperate with the surgery, and it can also avoid psychological damage after school. There are many types of corrective surgeries, and different surgical methods are selected according to specific cases and medical conditions. They can be roughly divided into two categories. 1. Staged surgery: The first stage corrects the curvature of the penis and moves the foreskin from the dorsal side to the ventral side, providing conditions for urethral reconstruction surgery. The current surgery is performed six months after the first stage surgery, using the ventral foreskin of the penis to build a new urethra, so that the urethra opens at the head of the penis. If the surgery is successful, the patient can urinate upright and have fertility in adulthood. 2. One-time surgery: This is the conventional surgical method used by the hospital. In one operation, the correction of the hypodymus of the penis is completed, the accumulation of the foreskin on the back of the penis is eliminated, the urethra is replaced by the bladder mucosa, and the urethra is opened at the normal position of the glans penis. This operation is more in line with the normal physiological structure and the appearance is similar to that of ordinary people. Patients can avoid the pain of multiple surgeries, have fewer complications, a high success rate, and a more satisfactory treatment effect. |
