How to detect orchitis? Revealed to you in detail!

In order to check whether you have orchitis, the doctor will introduce you to the detailed examination process after you arrive at the hospital. At present, there are relatively mature methods for checking orchitis in medicine, so don't worry, as long as you follow the doctor's instructions, you will be able to make a clear judgment.

1. After carefully examining the lumps in the scrotum on both sides, the doctor can roughly distinguish between benign and malignant lesions. If a testicular tumor is suspected, it is not advisable to perform a local puncture biopsy of the testicular tumor because it is easy to cause tumor metastasis. The nature of the testicular tumor must be confirmed by the pathological report after surgery.

2. Computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) can more accurately determine whether there is retroperitoneal metastasis, which is especially helpful for patients who have not yet undergone cryptic testicular removal and may have already developed malignant changes.

3.B-ultrasound examination can more accurately measure the size and shape of the testicles and whether there is a tumor. Especially for patients with cryptic testes, it can understand the development of the testicles and whether they are enlarged or malignant.

4. Chest X-ray examination, including fluoroscopy or chest radiography, to determine whether there is lung metastasis.

5. Testicular self-examination. Take a hot bath first to relax the scrotum so that you can feel lumps and abnormalities. When checking, stand on both feet and feel for lumps or other abnormalities. Normal testicles are oval, smooth, and of medium hardness.

6. Take a blood test for tumor markers human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG, normal value <5 micrograms/liter) and alpha-fetoprotein (AFP, normal value <25 micrograms/liter). If the test value exceeds the normal value, further examination should be performed.

7. The occurrence of orchitis will cause a decline in male sexual function. If orchitis is not cured for a long time, it will also cause sperm and kidney deficiency, loss of vitality, severe limb coldness, back pain, premature aging, and even dead sperm and azoospermia, leading to male infertility. Therefore, if you have orchitis, you must detect it as soon as possible and treat it as soon as possible.
