Early symptoms of AIDS in men, knowing these is very helpful

Many people have never thought about the possibility of contracting AIDS, so they don't know much about the disease. This is also the reason why many patients wait until the disease becomes serious before seeking treatment. Therefore, the following will introduce the early symptoms of AIDS in men.

1. Symptoms of acute AIDS

Some people may develop early symptoms of male AIDS in the early stages of infection, with an incidence rate of about 50%, mainly manifested as fever, dizziness, weakness, sore throat, joint pain, rash, swollen superficial lymph nodes all over the body, and other symptoms similar to "colds". Some people may also have diarrhea. This symptom usually disappears after 1-2 weeks, and then male AIDS infected people enter a latent period without symptoms.

2. Latent symptoms of AIDS

Most people have no symptoms during the latent period, but a small number of adult men will have swollen lymph nodes and nervous system symptoms during the latent period of AIDS, mainly dizziness, depression, memory loss, movement and language disorders, acute aseptic meningitis, manifested as headache, neurological symptoms and meningeal irritation, etc. Swollen lymph nodes are also a hallmark symptom of the latent period, and are found in a small number of adult men throughout the HIV infection cycle.

3. Symptoms of terminal AIDS

There are obvious clinical manifestations such as fever, fatigue, sweating, weight loss, persistent diarrhea, persistent fever of 38℃ for more than 3 months, etc. There are also severe clinical manifestations of immunodeficiency, such as slow cellular immune response, opportunistic infections and malignant tumors, which can affect all systems and organs of the body, and there are often multiple pathogens causing infections and tumors coexisting.

4. AIDS is currently very difficult to cure, and the mortality rate is very high if treatment is delayed. All people who have engaged in high-risk behaviors such as bad sexual behavior or drug use, especially gay men, must test for AIDS in a timely manner and conduct regular testing, once every three months, and no longer than six months. After an occasional high-risk sexual behavior, you must go to the CDC as soon as possible after the 26-week window period to test for HIV antibodies. You can also purchase AIDS test strips for home self-testing.
