What are the specific symptoms of prostate stones?

If the prostate stones are relatively small, the patient usually has no obvious symptoms, but if the stones are relatively large, some symptoms will appear, including frequent urination, painful urination, and hematuria. Prostate stones are usually difficult to cure with medication, and minimally invasive treatment or surgical treatment must be considered.

1. Most patients with prostate stones do not have many obvious symptoms. Only when the stones are large, there will be symptoms such as frequent urination, hematuria, difficulty urinating, pain, and sometimes low libido, hematospermia or impotence.

2. The prostate is an accessory organ of the male reproductive system. The fluid secreted by the prostate can nourish sperm and ensure the normal activity of sperm. However, this prostate fluid and the epithelial cells shed from the prostate are the main substances that form stones.

When people suffer from prostatitis, gonorrhea, or prostatic diverticulum, the glands may be blocked and secretions cannot be discharged. This blockage in turn aggravates the gradual formation of stones by inorganic salts.

3. Generally, the incidence rate is higher in people over 40 years old, with the highest incidence rate in the 50-65 age group.

When complicated with chronic prostatitis, urethral stenosis or prostatic hyperplasia, corresponding symptoms may occur. The formation of prostatic stones is a secondary effect of prostatitis, urethral stenosis and prostatic hyperplasia.

4. Prostate stones are mainly diagnosed through rectal palpation and X-rays. Multiple nodules can be felt on the surface of the prostate through the rectum, and there is a friction feeling of stones. X-ray examination can understand the number, size and location of the stones.

Generally, no special treatment is required for prostate stones without symptoms or other secondary diseases. Large or multiple stones may require surgical treatment based on the patient's age and physical condition, as general drugs are ineffective against them.
