The problem of scrotal dampness cannot be ignored and effective treatment is of course not negligible. It is more effective to treat it through traditional Chinese medicine. Chinese medicines such as Sophora flavescens, Honeysuckle, Cnidium monnieri, Taraxacum mongolicum and Chrysanthemum flos can also relieve scrotal eczema if taken orally after decoction. 1. Traditional Chinese Medicine Classification Scrotal eczema is generally divided into two types in traditional Chinese medicine: deficiency and excess. Excess is mostly caused by dampness and heat. It is caused by eating spicy, fatty and sweet food, or dampness of the scrotum, sweat infiltration, and friction of underwear. Papules, ulcers, and pustules can be seen on the scrotum. After scratching, erosion, exudation, and scabs will appear. The scrotal skin is red and burning. Deficiency syndrome is mostly transformed from the acute phase. The scrotal skin is thickened, rough like grass, black in color, and itchy. The treatment of excess syndrome should clear away heat and dampness, while the treatment of deficiency syndrome should nourish blood and moisturize the skin. 2. Prescription reference 1. Oral prescription Note for the front row: 15 grams of Sophora flavescens, 15 grams of Phellodendron chinense, 10 grams of Cnidium monnieri, 10 grams of Honeysuckle, take twice a day. 2. For external use (1) 20g almonds, 60g dandelions, 15g wild chrysanthemums, decoct in water, wait for it to cool, then apply on the scrotal surface 2-3 times a day. This is suitable for scrotal eczema with dampness and heat, erosion and excessive water retention. (2) Indigo powder: Boil the paste with decoction of laxatives, remove the residue and mix it with the Indigo powder. Apply externally twice a day. It is suitable for scrotal eczema caused by blood deficiency and wind. 3. Notes 1. Scrotal eczema is not tinea, so it should not be treated as tinea with sulfonic wine, tinea medicine, garlic, etc. This disease is most taboo to scratch, rub, rub, perm, etc. Hot water, soap, salt water, alkaline water are not suitable for use. As long as you pay attention not to scratch and irritate the skin, most patients can get better quickly. 2. Scrotal eczema is not a sexually transmitted disease and is not contagious. Most patients suffer from it because they like spicy food or wear synthetic underwear, which causes dampness and sweating in the scrotum and poor ventilation in the lower body. Therefore, it is recommended that patients wear pure cotton underwear, avoid spicy food, keep a good mood, get enough sleep, build confidence, and persist in treatment, which can improve the efficacy and reduce or alleviate the recurrence of scrotal eczema. |
