What is prostate calcification and how can it be prevented?

What is the most common disease among men? Some say it is stomach disease, some say it is liver disease, and some think it is lung disease. In fact, none of them are the most common disease among men. Among the various prostate diseases, prostate calcification is also relatively common. So how can men prevent this disease?

Prevention

1. Maintain a good mood, cultivate hobbies, build strong confidence, eliminate anxiety, and divert attention from prostate diseases.

2. Pay attention to your diet, avoid spicy food, eat more fruits and vegetables, and develop good living habits.

3. Pay attention to the combination of work and rest, avoid excessive fatigue, do appropriate physical exercise, especially exercises to strengthen the pelvic muscles, and strictly prohibit long-term sitting, riding a bicycle, etc.

4. Sexual life should be regular, avoiding too little or too frequent sex.

Causes

When various reasons cause the prostate ducts and alveoli to expand or prostate fluid to accumulate, the exfoliated epithelial cells can aggregate with the amyloid bodies (prostate aggregates) and secretions in the cystic cavity. If calcium salts are gradually deposited, calcification will form. Chemical prostatitis caused by urine reflux is more likely to cause calcification. The cause of prostate calcification is still unclear, and it may be related to factors such as degeneration of prostate tissue, chronic prostatitis, prostate fluid retention, frequent congestion of the prostate, stenosis of the prostate duct, calcium-phosphorus metabolism disorders, and social and psychological factors. It is generally believed that calcification is closely related to prostatitis in those aged <40 years old, and it is closely related to prostate hyperplasia in those aged >40 years old.

Existing studies have shown that nanobacterial infection in the prostate may lead to prostate calcification, which may make prostatitis difficult to treat and prone to recurrence. However, the exact relationship between the three requires further research to confirm.
