What are the standards for push-ups? Here's how to do a perfect push-up!

Push-ups can not only exercise men's arm muscles, but also regulate body functions and have the effect of prolonging life. However, although many men do it every day, they just don't do it very standardly. So the question is, how should standard push-ups be done? Let's teach you how to do the most perfect push-ups.

Perfect push-up

To achieve a perfect starting position, your body must be in a straight line from shoulders to ankles, and your arms should be placed at chest level, with your hands slightly wider than shoulders. This ensures that each movement can effectively train the biceps.

When doing push-ups, you should take 2 to 3 seconds to fully lower your body, and your chest should be about 2 to 3 cm away from the ground; then, you should immediately push up and return to the starting position. If you do it this way, you will find that it is not easy to do a perfect push-up.

If you can't do a full push-up, there is a compromise method, which is to kneel on the ground. This is also a method you can choose when you can't complete a formal push-up and want to continue exercising.

When is the right time to do push-ups?

According to experts, push-ups are the best warm-up before doing a push-up exercise, or they can be done after a chest muscle exercise to increase the effect of the pectoralis major muscle exercise. In addition, push-ups are the basis of all bodyweight-based exercise methods.

How should you do push-up exercises?

Beginners can do two sets of 5 to 10 reps each; athletes with a certain foundation can do 3 sets of 10 reps each; advanced people can try 4 sets of 15 to 20 push-ups.
