The relationship between blood pressure and heart rate, common factors affecting blood pressure

Blood pressure and heart rate are indicators that people need to pay attention to in normal times. Generally speaking, when people's health is abnormal, the values of blood pressure and heart rate will fluctuate. So, is there a relationship between blood pressure and heart rate?

Relationship between blood pressure and heart rate:

There is no causal relationship between blood pressure and heart rate. Abnormal blood pressure and abnormal heart rate are just two different physical signs. However, in recent years, hypertension has been listed as a separate disease in clinical practice, that is, it is no longer treated as a simple common symptom or sign. Some medical textbooks also teach hypertension as a disease name.

Hypertension can be divided into secondary and primary. Clinical data also show that hypertension has a genetic tendency. Hypertension is often accompanied by other diseases, mostly cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. When accompanied by heart disease, changes in blood pressure and heart rate can often exist at the same time, but there is no absolute causal relationship between the two.

Blood pressure can be affected by:

1. Height: The taller you are, the greater pressure your heart needs to pump blood so that it can flow throughout your body.

2. Age: The younger you are, the higher your metabolic rate is, the greater your blood flow is, and the greater the pressure your heart needs to pump blood, which increases with age.

3. Blood viscosity (blood density): The thicker the blood, the greater the pressure the heart needs to pump the blood.

4. Posture: Blood pressure is higher when standing than when sitting, and blood pressure when sitting is higher than when lying flat. This is due to the influence of gravity.

5. Blood vessel quality: If the blood vessels become narrower, it will be more difficult for blood to pass through, and the heart will need greater pressure to pump out the blood.
