How to diagnose dermatitis and eczema? Symptoms of dermatitis and eczema

The pathogenesis of dermatitis and eczema has not been clearly explained to this day, but some experts believe that the disease is caused not only by internal factors but also by some external factors, and it is difficult to distinguish the primary and secondary factors. The number of patients suffering from dermatitis and eczema has increased significantly, so what are the clinical symptoms?

Acute eczema

Acute eczema is mostly millet-sized red papules, papules or blisters, accompanied by obvious punctate or small-piece erosions, exudates, and crusts. The boundaries of the damage are unclear. When combined with infection, pustules, purulent exudates, and scabs may appear.

Subacute eczema

It is often delayed due to improper treatment of acute injuries. The skin damage is mainly red papules, maculopapules, scaling or crusts, with a small number of papules or blisters and erosive exudates.

Chronic eczema

Most cases are caused by recurrent acute or subacute eczema. The skin lesions are dark red or brownish red spots or maculopapules, which often fuse and thicken to present lichenification. There are scales, scratches and blood crusts on the surface, and a few papules and maculopapules are scattered around. Skin lesions can develop acutely under certain inducements:

1. The rash is polymorphic and is divided into three types according to the characteristics of the skin lesions: acute, subacute and chronic eczema.

2. The rash can occur in any part of the body, but is more common on exposed parts and flexor sides; the rash is often distributed symmetrically.

3. The patient feels severe itching.

4. The course of the disease is irregular, with frequent recurrences and prolonged duration that is difficult to cure.

5. Common eczema in specific parts of the body includes ear eczema, hand and foot eczema, breast eczema, anal and external genital eczema, and calf eczema.
