Pay attention to anal cramps, it may be spastic anorectal

With the development of society, people are under increasing pressure in life. Many people have gastrointestinal diseases in their lives. So what is spasmodic anal and rectal pain?

(1) Inflammatory pain: Any inflammatory disease of the anus such as anal sinusitis, anal papillitis, external hemorrhoid inflammation, anal infection, anal abscess, anal fistula infection and other inflammatory stimulations will cause anal pain or severe pain. In some cases, the pain will be accompanied by a series of symptoms such as fever, dry stool, and difficulty urinating. Of course, it will also be accompanied by an increase in the total white blood cell count.

(2) Spasmodic pain: Anal fissures, edema of hemorrhoids, internal hemorrhoids, etc. often cause anal pain due to spasm of the anal sphincter.

(3) Anal and rectal injury and pain: foreign body injury to the anus, anal laceration, coccyx injury, surgical trauma, etc. can all cause varying degrees of anal pain. Excessive consumption of spicy food, strong alcohol, and irritants in the stool can also cause anal pain and discomfort.

(4) Compression pain in the anus and surrounding tissues: Advanced anal canal cancer, low rectal cancer, prostate cancer, cervical cancer, etc. are all accompanied by anal pain and obvious constipation.

(5) Psychoneural factors: If the patient is under long-term mental tension, fear, pessimism, and doubt, the central nervous system will be over-tense and form anal neurosis. The most typical characteristics of such patients are that they feel pain, noise, foreign bodies, numbness, and uncleanness in the anus, accompanied by mental depression, loss of appetite, dizziness, and insomnia. These conditions are all mental problems and often require psychological treatment. Anal neurological factors are mainly caused by surgical scars compressing the perianal nerves. For example, various postoperative scar stenosis, postoperative scar malabsorption, and scar constitution can all cause pain due to compression.

(6) Pain caused by increased rectal pressure: Pain in the anus may occur due to excessive rectal pressure stimulating the rectal pressure receptors during bacillary dysentery, proctitis attacks, and fecal impaction.
