There are 6 reasons for low back pain. Which one is yours?

In modern society, 70% of people will suffer from low back pain. As they age, the symptoms of low back pain will become more and more obvious and worsen. There are many reasons for low back pain. Which of the following reasons does it apply to you?

Psoas muscle strain

Women who work in standing positions for a long time, such as textile, printing and dyeing, hairdressing, and sales, have weakened the ability of waist tendons and ligaments to stretch due to continuous standing, and excessive lactic acid may accumulate locally, inhibiting the normal metabolism of the waist muscles, and may also cause waist muscle strain and lumbago. Frequently carrying heavy objects and excessive waist burdens can easily cause scoliosis, resulting in waist muscle strain and lumbago.

Lumbar spondylosis

It is more common in elderly women. With the increase of age, the compression of lumbar nerves will become more severe. Pseudospondylolisthesis caused by degenerative changes is a common lesion, which can easily cause stenosis of the lumbar spinal canal, compress the spinal cord and nerve roots, and lead to low back pain and radiating pain in the lower limbs, often caused by vertebral collapse fractures caused by osteoporosis. In addition, bone formation can also cause spinal stiffness, leading to persistent low back pain.

Due to trauma, long-term fatigue, overwork, uncoordinated force, improper posture and other reasons, the intervertebral disc tissue degeneration, fibrous annulus rupture, nucleus pulposus protrusion from the rupture, compressing the adjacent nerves and spinal cord, causing edema of surrounding tissues, spinal canal stenosis, scoliosis, etc., causing low back pain.

Urinary tract infection

Patients with urinary tract infection will experience lower back pain. This is because the urinary tract infection may be infected by bacteria or viruses due to untimely or incomplete treatment. When bacteria and viruses enter the lower back, it will cause infection in the lower back, causing the patient to develop lower back disease and manifest as lower back pain.

It is common in women. Because the female urethra is short and straight, and the external opening of the urethra is close to the anus, E. coli often parasitizes. In addition, due to the physiological characteristics of women, the urethra is more likely to be contaminated. If hygiene is neglected, urinary tract infection is likely to occur. Low back pain is mostly caused by acute and chronic pyelonephritis, which manifests as low back pain and swelling. In severe cases, it radiates along the ureter to the perineum. In addition to urinary tract infection, urinary tract stones, tuberculosis and other diseases can also cause low back pain.

Duodenal ulcer

Duodenal ulcers are located in the right upper abdomen. When the ulcer is located on the posterior wall, it can manifest as low back pain. In addition, menopausal women may also suffer from low back pain due to autonomic nervous system dysfunction, which is characterized by heaviness in the morning and relief after activity.

Kidney deficiency

Kidney deficiency causes low back pain. The pain is dull pain, soreness, weakness and inability to move in the entire waist. In traditional Chinese medicine theory, the waist is the viscera of the kidney. Low back pain caused by kidney yang deficiency manifests as cold pain in the waist, soreness, weakness and inability in the waist and knees.

Contusion, sprain

Sprains are acute sprains of the soft tissues of the waist, including muscles, ligaments, fascia, joints, and process joints. They are more common in young people. They are mainly caused by excessive weight bearing, incorrect posture, uncoordinated movements, sudden slips, violent lifting of heavy objects, lack of preparation during activities, and excessive range of activities. Once a waist sprain occurs, the patient's waist will immediately become stiff, and bending and rotation will be difficult. The pain is severe and affects a large range. Muscle spasms, coughing or sneezing will increase the pain, making it difficult to walk. Sometimes the patient needs to be supported by family members or carried to the hospital.

Therefore, low back pain is not necessarily caused by kidney deficiency. Especially if the pain is severe, you should go to the hospital for appropriate examinations and diagnosis.
