What is the age of menopause?

Women go into menopause after their menstruation stops. This physiological change can cause some physical symptoms and other conditions to occur. There are also some psychological changes. In fact, men also go into menopause after their endocrine system becomes disordered as they age. So what is the age of menopause for men? Let's introduce it below.

Menopause is an inevitable physiological period in life for both men and women. Although some discomfort may occur, it is mainly the result of the body not adapting to the aging changes that occur inside, and it is not a disease. In my opinion, the best solution is to maintain an optimistic attitude and correctly recognize that menopause is an inevitable transition.

When men reach the age of 45-55, various organs in the body also age, and the testicles are no exception. After the age of 40, the weight of men's testicles gradually decreases, and they begin to shrink at the age of 50. Both the ability to produce sperm and the ability to secrete male hormones such as testosterone are weakened. There are also certain changes in pituitary gonadotropin, and the male hormone secreted by the adrenal cortex is also reduced. Men at this age stage often have some symptoms of varying severity, but not as fast as women's ovarian aging and estrogen reduction. Although the function of men's reproductive organs, the testicles, has a gradual decline, it does not completely lose its function. This is the fundamental difference from women. Men who enter old age from middle age do not have the obvious signs of ovulation and menopause, as well as the obvious autonomic nervous system dysfunction symptoms that women have. Because testicular aging and testosterone secretion reduction are slow, many men can adapt to this slow process, so generally no symptoms or reactions will appear. However, there are also a considerable number of men who cannot adapt to this change and will also have some symptoms. Since these symptoms are also caused by testicular atrophy, decreased function, and decreased sex hormone secretion, they are the same as female menopause, so it can also be called male menopause. Because male gonadal function declines slowly, men's menopausal symptoms appear later, usually between the ages of 55 and 65, about 10 years later than women.

Symptoms of male menopause are generally mild and subtle. Common symptoms include nervousness, nervousness, fatigue, irritability, agitation, depression, headache, back pain, dizziness, facial fever, palpitations, abnormal sensations, memory loss, difficulty concentrating, and decreased sexual function.

When the above symptoms occur during male menopause, sedatives, sleeping pills, and analgesics can be taken, such as chlordiazepoxide, chlorpheniramine, analgesic tablets, and oryzanol. If necessary, testosterone propionate can be used for treatment, 25 mg each time, twice a week, intramuscular injection, for 3 consecutive months. Or methyltestosterone can be taken orally, 5 mg each time, 3 times a day, for 3 consecutive months. If testosterone is taken, the symptoms are relieved, which can further confirm that the patient suffers from male menopause syndrome. Chinese medicines such as Buzhong Yiqi Decoction, Liuwei Dihuang Pills, and Yougui Pills are also effective.

The age of menopause is introduced above. In fact, there is nothing to worry about after the occurrence of menopausal symptoms. As long as you can actively treat and control your body and pay more attention to psychological control, then the symptoms of menopause will not be too difficult to treat. The main thing about menopausal symptoms is to stabilize your emotions.
