There are many types of sexually transmitted diseases such as genital warts. Different types of genital warts may have different symptoms, which can be divided into five major types according to the symptoms. We can classify them according to the size of the damage and the shape of the genital warts. Today, I will tell you about several common genital warts and the corresponding treatment methods. 1. Cauliflower-shaped condyloma Cauliflower-shaped condylomas are the most common in clinical practice. The lesions begin as papules with slightly pointed tips, and some are sprout-like. The papules grow rapidly after they occur. When the lesions grow larger, they often appear as a number of small finger-like protrusions, shaped like cauliflower. Some lesions in cauliflower-shaped condylomas are in the shape of a chicken's crown, some have a wider base, and some have a pedicle. The lesion tissue of cauliflower-shaped condylomas is brittle and is easy to bleed if rubbed with a cotton swab. 2. Papular condyloma Papular condylomas are more common in clinical practice. The lesions start as pinpoint-sized papules, which gradually grow to the size of millet, mung bean, soybean or broad bean. These papules are raised on the surface of the skin and mucous membranes, with flat or semicircular tops. The lesions often occur in multiples or start as a single one and gradually increase. The papules can merge into patches, and some form cords, bands or wheat ears. Papular condylomas often occur in drier skin and mucous membranes such as the penis, foreskin, glans of the penis in men, the labia majora and minora, perineum and skin around the anus in women. 3. Keratotic condyloma This type of condyloma acuminatum is relatively rare in clinical practice and often occurs on dry skin, such as the penis body, penis root or scrotum of men, labia majora, perineum and perianal area of women. Keratotic condyloma acuminatum is mostly single, a few are multiple, and has no obvious tendency to merge. 4. Giant condyloma acuminatum This type of condyloma was first reported by Busehke and Loewenstein in 1925, so it is also called Buschke-Loewenstein tumor. At present, some scholars believe that giant condyloma is a variant of verrucous carcinoma. This type of condyloma is rare in clinical practice, but the number of cases reported in China has increased year by year in recent years, and the incidence rate has an upward trend. This type of condyloma acuminatum is also rare in clinical practice. The lesion starts as a small papule and gradually increases in size to form a tumor with a diameter of about 1.5 to 2 cm protruding on the surface of the skin and mucous membrane. The color of the lesion is light red or close to the color of the skin and mucous membrane, and some are light brown or grayish white. The edge of the lesion is relatively smooth, but it is rough and uneven when viewed closely, and the surface is papillary granules or burr-like protrusions. The more common types of petroleum have been introduced above. Be sure to read it carefully. No matter what type of genital warts you have, you must actively go to the hospital for a check-up and don't be careless. |
