The levator ani exercise is a kind of exercise that contracts the anus regularly. It can effectively improve the function of the anal sphincter and prevent anal relaxation. About half of the urination problems of middle-aged and elderly men are related to prostate hypertrophy. The levator ani exercise can activate the levator ani muscles, pubococcygeus muscles, urethral sphincter muscles, nerves, blood vessels, and the metabolism of various organ tissues in the pelvic floor, thereby relieving prostate enlargement and inflammation, and has a good effect on improving urination difficulties.

On the one hand, adult men doing ani-lifting exercises can cause the perineal muscles to contract and relax, thereby effectively promoting blood circulation in the perineum and improving symptoms of prostate diseases such as perineal pain and pain around the anus.

On the other hand, the prostate is adjacent to the perineum. When men do levator ani exercises, the perineum contracts and relaxes, which produces a massage effect on the prostate. This massage can relieve prostate congestion and edema to a certain extent and reduce prostatitis symptoms.

The anus lifting exercise is simple and easy to do, and can be done anytime and anywhere. When you inhale, slightly contract the muscles near the anus, like holding back a bowel movement, and lift the anus upwards. Hold your breath and keep the anus lifted for 2 to 3 seconds, then exhale, relax, and rest for 2 to 3 seconds before repeating the above movements. Repeat this 30 times, 3 to 5 times a day, and it can play a good auxiliary therapeutic role.

It can be seen that regular pelvic floor exercises can also relieve male prostatitis. Since pelvic floor exercises have so many benefits, and they are so simple and can be done anytime and anywhere, we should do them in our daily lives to treat diseases and keep healthy.
