What are the symptoms of skin lymphoma?

Lymphoma is a general term, while cutaneous lymphoma is more specific. In today's society, human activities have increased, the earth's living environment has been destroyed, and the atmosphere has been fractured, and it has become increasingly thin in many places. When sunlight shines on the earth, without the thick atmosphere, the radiation of ultraviolet rays to the human body is particularly obvious. Humans have to take a series of protective measures to protect themselves. However, no matter how much protection is taken, it cannot absolutely prevent the occurrence of diseases. Skin cancer has become a major problem in today's oncology department. Cutaneous lymphoma is one of them. Let us learn about cutaneous lymphoma together.

Lymphoma is a malignant tumor in the blood system. It originates from lymph nodes or lymphatic tissue outside lymph nodes that metastasize into tumor cells. Since lymph nodes and lymphatic tissue are distributed throughout the body, lymphoma can occur in any part of the body. Among them, lymph nodes, tonsils, spleen, bone marrow and gastrointestinal tract are the most susceptible parts. Lymphoma has a tendency to increase year by year, more in men than in women, and more common in people aged 20 to 40. The cause of the disease is not yet fully understood, and it may be related to viral infection, low immune function, and chromosomal abnormalities. According to the pathological histological changes of lymphoma, it is divided into two major categories: Hodgkin's lymphoma and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Among patients in my country, non-Hodgkin's lymphoma is the most common, accounting for about 90%, while Hodgkin's lymphoma accounts for only about 10%. The diagnosis is mainly based on pathological examination of lymph nodes or other lymphoid tissues.

The most common symptom of lymphoma is painless and progressive enlargement of superficial lymph nodes, which are common in the neck, armpits and groin. Patients often do not pay attention to it. As the disease progresses, they often go to the hospital for treatment because of a lump on the neck that grows larger and larger and is painless. In the late stage, multiple enlarged lymph nodes fuse together into a mass. Because lymphatic tissue is distributed throughout the body, cough, shortness of breath, chest tightness, pleural effusion, abdominal pain, abdominal mass, ascites, liver enlargement, spleen enlargement, jaundice, skin itching, bone pain, lower limb paralysis, etc. Systemic symptoms are characterized by long-term recurrent fever, accompanied by fatigue, sweating, and weight loss. Because the clinical manifestations are very complex, varied, and easily misdiagnosed, patients with unexplained painless, progressive enlargement of lymph nodes or recurrent fever should be considered to have lymphoma. In the last century, great progress has been made in the treatment of lymphoma, and the survival period has been extended. The prognosis is more optimistic than leukemia, and some patients with certain types of lymphoma may be cured with chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Currently, a comprehensive treatment combining chemotherapy with radiation therapy as the main treatment is often used, in combination with biological therapy, surgical treatment, traditional Chinese medicine, and bone marrow transplantation or hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. Patients can achieve longer-term remission and disease-free survival, and the possibility of cure is increasing.

I think everyone has a better understanding of skin lymphoma. Effective protective measures and appropriate diet therapy can effectively prevent skin lymphoma.
