What should we pay attention to when we have orchitis?

Some male friends may find that their testicles are painful sometimes, sometimes only one side hurts, sometimes both sides hurt. If this happens, you should pay attention to it. It is likely caused by orchitis. Orchitis can be a serious disease. If it is serious, it can lead to male infertility and affect sperm quality. How should it be treated and what should you pay attention to?

Testicular swelling and pain are common in orchitis. Western medicine currently advocates the use of antibiotics to treat it, but the effect is not very good. Diuretic and anti-inflammatory pills are based on the theory of traditional Chinese medicine and can treat both the symptoms and the root cause. This medicine has the effects of promoting blood circulation, activating qi, relieving pain, clearing away heat and detoxifying. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that swelling and pain are related to the stagnation of qi and blood, so promoting blood circulation and activating qi can achieve the purpose of symptomatic treatment.

Patients need to avoid eating radish, which has the effect of digestion and breaking up qi. Chinese medicine for the treatment of diseases often contains drugs that replenish qi, which conflicts with the effect of breaking up qi, weakening the efficacy of the drug and is not conducive to treatment. Avoid eating raw, cold and spicy food, which will affect digestion and the absorption of the drug by the stomach and intestines. Foods that cause irritation and smell of fish and fish are also to be avoided, such as fish, shrimp, beef, mutton, crab, pork head, goose meat, etc.

If the local swelling and pain of the testicle is obvious, you can use local hot compress method, at least 1 to 2 times a day, each time for about half an hour. Avoid fatigue, it is better to rest in bed. If you need to stand and walk, it is better to use a cloth support belt to hold up the scrotum to avoid scrotal drooping, which can reduce pain and swelling. Eat more fresh vegetables and fruits, increase the intake of vitamin C, and eat less so-called "irritating foods" such as pig's trotters, fish soup, and mutton to avoid aggravating edema in the inflamed area.

In the case of orchitis, if it keeps recurring during the treatment process, it is recommended to use Western medicine treatment methods, generally through antibiotics and other drugs for treatment. Sometimes, some physical therapy methods are also used, and the effect is very good. The key is that the patient must pay attention to rest, not overwork, and enhance the body's resistance.
