Treatment of testicular dysplasia

Treatment of testicular dysplasia

There is currently no good way to treat testicular hypoplasia or testicular abnormalities. If the sperm quality is not affected, you can have a baby through IVF. Testicular hypoplasia is a congenital disease, and some even make men completely infertile. A few people may still have sexual function. If the testicular volume is less than 6 cubic centimeters, sexual ability may also be affected.

Testicular dysplasia can be polytestis, which is an extremely rare congenital abnormality. Polytestis is mostly discovered when a mass is accidentally found in the scrotum or groin or when the patient seeks medical attention for testicular torsion. Extra testicles rarely develop normally, and long-term ectopic and atrophic testicles may even become malignant.

Testicular hypoplasia can be atestis, that is, men have no testicles. This condition is very rare. Unilateral atestis often occurs on the right side and is often accompanied by cryptic testis on the other side. Bilateral atestis often leads to gender abnormalities and a significant lack of general sexual function. The cause may be that the testicles are suppressed by toxins during the embryonic period, or testicular atrophy caused by vascular occlusion or trauma.

Testicular maldevelopment can also occur during the embryonic period due to blood supply disorders or spermatic cord torsion when the testicles descend, both of which can cause testicular maldevelopment. Testicular maldevelopment can also occur in sexual immaturity and when there is hypopituitarism.

Among the diseases of testicular dysplasia, occult testis can be treated. It can be treated by nasal spray of luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone inhibitors or intramuscular injection of human chorionic gonadotropin in the last month after birth. It can also be treated by testicular descent fixation surgery.
