What are the symptoms of prostate cancer bone metastasis?

What are the symptoms of prostate cancer bone metastasis?

Prostate cancer is a common malignant tumor in men. The problem of prostate cancer is relatively complicated. The difficulty of treating early prostate cancer is slightly smaller, but in the middle and late stages, the cancer cells of prostate cancer may metastasize and spread. Clinically, the most common metastasis of prostate cancer is bone metastasis. So what are the symptoms when prostate cancer metastasizes to the bones?

1. Bone metastasis is the most common metastasis of prostate cancer. It usually manifests as pain at the metastasis site, which is sometimes severe. If the metastasis occurs in the joints, it may affect the function of the joints, manifesting as movement disorders. In severe cases, fractures may occur. If fractures occur in the upper or lower limbs, it may cause disorders in the affected limbs. If the metastasis occurs in the spine, it causes spinal fractures, and the patient may suffer from paralysis, incontinence and other serious conditions.

2. Patients with bone metastasis may experience bone pain in the clinic. Some patients may suffer fractures due to bone damage caused by the tumor invading the bones. Like other tumors, prostate cancer is also a malignant tumor, so there is a risk of metastasis. The most common site of prostate cancer metastasis is bone metastasis, so in clinical practice, patients diagnosed with prostate cancer usually need to undergo bone-related examinations to determine whether bone metastasis exists.

3. If prostate cancer metastasizes, more than 95% of them are bone metastases. Bone metastases are divided into osteolytic metastases and proliferative metastases. More than 75% of prostate cancers will have proliferative metastases, which may invade peripheral nerves. If the bone at the metastatic site is damaged, the patient may have fractures in the femoral neck and trunk. If the spinal fracture compresses the vertebral body, it may cause paralysis of the patient. Most patients will have bone pain symptoms at the metastatic site. Some patients with prostate cancer bone metastases may have no obvious symptoms.
