Normal value of sperm routine examination

Normal value of sperm routine examination

Routine sperm testing is a method of testing sperm quality. The quality of sperm is determined by the male's physical health. Generally, the healthier the male, the higher the activity and quality of his sperm. The longer the sperm survives after entering the female body, the easier it is to conceive. Through sperm testing, we can see if there are any problems with sperm. So what is the normal value of routine sperm testing?

Semen is a secretion of the male reproductive system, mainly composed of sperm and seminal plasma. Seminal plasma is the medium and energy source for sperm survival, and plays an important role in the survival and physiological movement function of sperm. The presence or absence of sperm is a sign of whether a man is fertile, but the internal quality of semen and sperm is also an indispensable condition for male fertility. Semen examination generally includes routine examination and special examination. Routine semen examination includes: semen discharge volume, semen color, pH value, sperm motility, sperm motility, microscopic examination, semen liquefaction time, etc. Routine semen examination is one of the simple and popular laboratory examination methods in urology, men's department, and reproductive department. In addition, the results of routine semen examination can only reflect the probability of male patients' fertility.
