Male urinary discharge

Male urinary discharge

Urinary tract infection is a very popular disease nowadays. Because many people sit for a long time, and their pants are tight and airtight, it will cause urinary tract infection. Urinary tract infection is no longer a disease exclusive to women. Many men are also prone to urinary tract infection, and the disease is more serious than that of women. It will affect the health of the reproductive organs. Sexual life may even cause interference with the urinary system and cause urethral discharge.

Precautions for male urinary tract infection and purulent discharge:

1. Diet and drinking. Male patients with urinary tract infection need to be given nutritious liquid or semi-liquid food; those with high fever and obvious digestive tract symptoms should be given intravenous fluid to ensure sufficient calories. Increase the amount of water you drink to ensure fluid balance and excrete enough urine. The daily urine volume should be more than 1500ml. If necessary, intravenous fluid should be infused to replenish water. More fluid intake and more urination can flush the urinary tract, promote the accelerated excretion of bacteria and inflammatory secretions, and reduce the hyperosmotic state of the renal medulla and papilla, which is not conducive to the growth and reproduction of bacteria.

2. Pay attention to rest. During the acute infection period, patients with obvious urinary tract irritation symptoms or fever should rest in bed and can get out of bed and move around after the body temperature returns to normal. Generally, patients with acute simple cystitis should rest for 3 to 5 days, and patients with pyelonephritis should rest for 7 to 10 days. They can resume work after the symptoms disappear. Chronic patients should also rest appropriately according to their condition to prevent reinfection caused by low immunity after excessive fatigue.

3. Symptomatic treatment. After a clear diagnosis and appropriate antibacterial drugs are selected, symptomatic treatment should be given to symptoms such as high fever, headache, back pain, and constipation. For chronic patients with anemia and physical weakness, small-volume multiple blood transfusions can be considered to improve the body's condition and enhance immunity.

Causes of urinary tract infection in men:

1. High temperature and moist skin. In the hot summer, you will sweat profusely as soon as you do a little activity. In order to cope with the large amount of water loss from the sweat glands, the kidneys must concentrate urine to preserve water, so the urine becomes thicker and the urine volume decreases. In addition, high temperature and moist skin also makes it easy for bacteria to grow on the skin, which can easily cause urinary tract diseases and is a seasonal cause of urinary tract infections.

2. Improper selection of treatment drugs. Gonorrhea is resistant to drugs; reinfection; sexual partners are not treated; patients do not take drugs according to doctor's instructions; drinking and spicy food can affect the efficacy of treatment; only drugs against one pathogen are given, and mixed infections are ignored, for example, combined with Chlamydia trachomatis or Mycoplasma infection and not treated. These are common problems that cause urinary tract infections to be difficult to cure.

3. Urinary tract infection caused by trichomonas. Certain bacterial infections lead to non-specific urethritis; it can cause prostatitis due to decreased local resistance; inflammatory damage to the urethral mucosa, such as edema and hyperplasia, has not yet recovered, or local nerves are stretched, which can cause symptoms of urinary tract infection.

4. Drinking too little water. Drink enough water, maintain more than 3000cc of water per day; empty the bladder at least once every 3 to 4 hours; avoid irritating foods, alcohol or coffee; consume more fruits containing vitamin C, such as orange, lemon and plum juice to keep urine acidic; at the same time, it is recommended to take a shower.
