What are the causes of male urethral eversion?

Compared with women's urethral opening, men's urethral opening has a simpler structure and is generally smaller, so there are rarely any problems. However, due to various reasons, such as foreskin being too long or not paying attention to personal hygiene for a long time, men's urethra may also develop some skin diseases. Some men may even have urethral eversion. What causes this symptom?

Causes of male urethral eversion:

Consider swelling caused by inflammatory reaction or congenital mucosal irritation. It is recommended to go to a professional urologist or andrologist to check the exfoliated cells at the external urethral opening, so that a clear judgment can be made. Choose conservative medication and minimally invasive surgery according to different situations.

Consider the symptom of ectropion caused by inflammation and swelling of the external urethral opening. First of all, it is recommended to avoid frequent sexual contact during this period, and to go to a professional urologist and andrologist for examination, urine routine, and exfoliated cell examination of the external urethral opening, so that a clear diagnosis can be made and targeted medication can be used.

This situation may be urethritis, which is caused by bacterial infection. You can take some antibacterial and anti-inflammatory drugs in time for treatment, such as amoxicillin capsules, levofloxacin capsules, yankening tablets, etc. It is recommended to pay attention to more rest, drink more water, avoid spicy and irritating foods, do not wear tight underwear, and do not masturbate or have sex.

Urethral mucosal prolapse is also called urethral mucosal eversion. It refers to a female urethral disease in which the urethral mucosa and submucosal tissue prolapse and evert outside the urethral opening. The most common patients are children, followed by postmenopausal women.

The true cause is not very clear. It is currently believed that urethral mucosal prolapse in children is common in weak girls, which is related to the rapid enlargement of the pelvis and changes in the pelvic organs. In addition, the weakness of the urogenital diaphragm and the congenital defect of the adhesion between the urethral mucosa and the submucosal membrane make it easy to develop mucosal prolapse. Prolapse in elderly women may be due to childbirth injuries, decreased estrogen levels after menopause, atrophy of the periurethral tissues, or general weakness, which leads to weak urethral walls, relaxation of the periurethral tissues, and urethral mucosal protrusion. In addition, various reasons such as severe coughing, constipation, diarrhea, childbirth, urinary tract infection, and weight can cause excessive bladder pressure, resulting in an imbalance of bladder and urethral pressure. In addition, insufficient strength of the periurethral supporting tissues can also lead to the occurrence of this disease. Other causes may also include direct pressure from bladder stones, urethral stones, or tumors.

The female urethra is vertical, short and wide. If the elastic fibers of the muscle layer are weak, the surrounding tissues are loose, and the mucosa develops beyond the muscle layer, the urethral mucosa, especially the posterior wall, will turn downward and out of the urethra, forming partial urethral mucosal prolapse. If the urethral wall is also loose, the entire urethral mucosa will be prolapsed to form complete urethral mucosal prolapse. The prolapsed mucosa is congested and edematous due to the annular pressure of the urethral opening, the friction of clothing, and even vascular embolism and necrosis, and can also cause secondary infection and erosion.
