Principles of ligation

Principles of ligation

Many male friends have always been worried about what problems may arise during the entire process of male sterilization, or what negative effects may occur after the sterilization operation. Today, I will take everyone to understand the basic principles of male sterilization and the surgical treatment process.

The basic principles of male sterilization

Male sterilization is a permanent contraceptive measure, suitable for families who do not want to have children. The basic principle of male sterilization is that the ejaculatory duct is relatively superficial and can be fixed by the skin. Then, the ejaculatory duct is infiltrated and anesthetized at the sparsely vascularized areas on both sides of the scrotum. The skin is cut open, and the ejaculatory duct is clearly raised and separated. It is cut slightly away from the epididymal cyst, and about 8mm is removed. The two ends of the surgery are ligated and buried, and no bleeding is checked, and then the skin is sutured. Male sterilization surgery is simple and reasonable.

Vasectomy is a type of ejaculatory duct sterilization.

The ejaculatory duct is relatively superficial and can be fixed by the skin. Then, the sparsely vascularized area on both sides of the scrotum is infiltrated with anesthesia, the skin is cut, the vas deferens is clearly exposed and separated, and the vas deferens is cut slightly away from the epididymal cyst. About 0.8 cm is removed, the two ends are ligated and buried, and no bleeding is checked. Then the skin is sutured surgically. The surgical treatment is simple and safe. As long as the aseptic operation principle and surgical treatment technical standards are strictly followed and the operation is performed carefully and carefully, complications rarely occur; once they occur, they can be properly treated if they are treated in time and given appropriate treatment. Common symptoms include bleeding, infection, painful mass and epididymal cystic pneumatosis.

Surgical treatment process

1. The patient lies on his back with his lower limbs slightly separated.

2. The doctor uses his right thumb, ring finger and middle finger to fix the ejaculatory duct on the right side of the patient, stretch the patient's scrotal skin, and pull open the spermatic duct. First, ligate one side, then the other side. During this process, the doctor's fingers are required to be fixed to prevent the ejaculatory duct from being dislocated.

3. The puncture site during the operation is set at the upper end of both sides of the scrotum. Use a fine needle to puncture the scrotal skin and inject procaine aqueous solution.

4. Use the ejaculatory duct separation forceps to dilate the puncture hole.

5. To fix the ejaculatory duct, insert the ejaculatory duct fixing clamp into the skin rupture, extend the clamp ring, and with the cooperation of the middle finger of the right hand, push the ejaculatory duct into the clamp ring and tighten it.

6. Lift the ejaculatory duct open and expose the milky white ejaculatory duct wall. Use the ejaculatory duct lifting hook to lift the ejaculatory duct out of the wound of the outer membrane.

7. Separate a 1.5 cm long section of the ejaculatory duct and perform ligation. The ligation should be done with appropriate tightness.

8. Use glacial phenylmercuric acetate to slowly introduce the sterilizing solution, at which time the patient will feel like urinating.

9. Ligation of the distal side of the ejaculatory duct. Use hemostats to turn over the proximal (or distal) end of the refracted vas deferens. Use the proximal (or distal) ligation thread to perform another ligation at the folded part.
