Male reproductive tract infection

Male reproductive tract infection

Infection is a common health problem, and many diseases are caused by infection. Male reproductive tract infection is also a common problem among men. Of course, when this happens, you must go to the hospital for treatment in time, because reproductive tract infection is likely to cause various diseases in men. Here we will introduce to you what diseases are easily caused by male reproductive tract infection!

1. Orchitis

It is caused by various pathogenic bacteria and viruses that infect the blood, lymphatic vessels, vas deferens or epididymis. Among them, orchitis caused by mumps is the most common. Mumps is an acute infectious disease caused by viruses. Adults with mumps are prone to orchitis. In the acute stage, patients show redness, swelling and pain in the scrotal skin, and have a noticeable feeling of swelling when walking. If it is not treated properly in the acute stage, it can turn into chronic orchitis.

2. Urethritis

Most cases are caused by retrograde infection, i.e., the bacteria directly invade the urethra. In the acute stage, patients may experience congestion and edema of the urethral mucosa, or the formation of erosion and ulcer, red and swollen urethral opening, mucous or purulent secretions, urethral tenderness and hardening; in severe cases, the epididymis and spermatic cord may be affected.

3. Prostatitis

It is often caused by direct spread of urethritis, or acute inflammation of other tissues and organs through blood and lymph infection. It is a common disease in young and middle-aged men. Acute prostatitis has an acute onset, and is often manifested by general weakness, back pain, discomfort in the perineum and anus, accompanied by urinary pain, frequent urination, urgency and even hematuria. Some people also experience decreased libido, premature ejaculation or impotence.

4. Nonbacterial prostatitis

There are symptoms such as frequent urination, urgent urination, and sexual dysfunction, but laboratory tests cannot detect bacteria. It is mainly caused by excessive sexual activity, prolonged sexual excitement, or pelvic congestion caused by riding a bicycle or horse.

5. Cystitis

Cystitis is an inflammation of the bladder, mainly caused by specific and non-specific bacterial infections. There are other special types of cystitis. Specific infection refers to bladder tuberculosis. Non-specific cystitis is caused by E. coli, E. coli, Proteus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Streptococcus faecalis and Staphylococcus aureus. Its clinical manifestations are acute and chronic. The former has a sudden onset, with a burning sensation during urination and pain in the urethra area. Sometimes there is urgency and severe urinary frequency.
