What to do if your genital skin cracks

What to do if your genital skin cracks

If men do not pay attention to their personal hygiene or have an uncontrolled sex life, it is easy to cause cracks in the genital skin. Therefore, it is recommended that men should wash their genitals more often and keep the genital skin dry to avoid skin cracks caused by genital infection. It is important to apply some antibiotics and other drugs to treat inflammation when cracks appear.

1. Fungal vulvitis

Vulvitis caused by a type of yeast infection often coexists with candidal vaginitis.

2. Acute vulvar ulcer

It is mostly caused by vulvitis for various reasons and is generally a manifestation of the course of vulvitis.

3. Caused by sexually transmitted diseases

During the course of sexually transmitted diseases such as vulvar condyloma acuminatum, chancroid, genital herpes, gonorrhea, etc., the vulva will often show inflammation symptoms.

4. Infant and young child vulvitis

Various bacteria will grow in the vagina of newborns 15 days after birth. In addition, due to the immature development of the external reproductive organs of infants and young children, their ability to resist bacterial infection is poor. In addition, their vulva is easily soaked in urine and contaminated by feces, and children like to sit anywhere. These are all causes of infection that can cause vulvitis in infants and young children.

5. Bartholinitis

It is more common in women of childbearing age. It is caused by the infection of the Bartholin's glands by bacteria such as Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, and Escherichia coli, which often cause acute inflammation. Bartholin's gland cysts are mostly caused by long-term chronic inflammation, which causes obstruction of the Bartholin's gland ducts, accumulation of glandular fluid, and cystic dilatation of the glands; or it is caused by the absorption of pus after the acute Bartholin's gland inflammation subsides. Bartholin's gland cysts and Bartholin's gland abscesses can transform into each other.

6. Non-specific vulvitis

Stimulation from physical and chemical factors in life, lack of attention to hygiene, and physical weakness can all cause women's vulva to be invaded by bacteria and cause vulvitis, such as cervical and vaginitis; or wearing non-breathable nylon underwear causes excessive vaginal secretions and irritation of the vulva; urine stains the vulva; using unclean sanitary napkins and toilet paper causes vulvar infection, etc. These factors will create conditions for the growth and reproduction of bacteria in the vulva, but because this type of vulvitis is not caused by specific pathogens, but mostly mixed infections of Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Escherichia coli, etc., it is called non-specific vulvitis.

How to take care of the female vulva?

1. Daily care of the female vulva is very important. If you are a little careless, vulvitis will quietly find you, so you need to clean the vulva daily. The methods of cleaning the vulva are as follows:

(1) Cleaning frequency: Once a day is sufficient.

(2) Cleaning liquid: You can use health-care vaginal cleansing products that can remove dirt and sterilize, but under normal circumstances, just water will suffice.

(3) Cleaning method: It is best to take a shower and rinse with warm water. If a shower is not available, you can use a basin instead, but it must be used for a specific purpose.

(4) Cleaning order: Wash your hands first, then clean the vulva from front to back, then wash the labia majora and minora, and finally wash the area around and around the anus.

2. When caring for the female vulva, you also need to pay attention to the cleanliness of the necessary supplies, as follows:

(1) Sanitary napkins: Avoid using sanitary napkins with medicine or fragrance. Change sanitary napkins frequently, every two hours, to prevent menstrual blood from becoming a "culture dish" for bacteria.

(2) Underwear: Women should choose light-colored, loose, pure cotton underwear. Underwear must be hand-washed, not machine-washed or left overnight to prevent bacterial growth. It is recommended to change new underwear every three months.
