Anyone with a little medical knowledge knows that chronic orchitis is a common disease in urology outpatient clinics. As a common disease, once a patient suffers from chronic orchitis, it will bring endless impacts to the body. It should be discovered and treated in time. So what are the symptoms of chronic orchitis? If you have chronic orchitis, how should you take effective methods to treat it? What factors are related to the occurrence of this disease? Chronic epididymitis is a common disease in urology outpatient clinics and has a significant impact on the quality of life of patients. At present, there are two main definitions of chronic epididymitis: broad and narrow. In a broad sense, chronic epididymitis refers to unilateral or bilateral scrotal, testicular or epididymal pain for 3 months or longer. During physical examination, it can be determined that the source of pain is located in one or both epididies. This definition is mainly described from the clinical manifestations, thus including various causes and pathological types. In a narrow sense, chronic epididymitis takes chronic inflammation as the main pathological change, excluding epididymal pain or discomfort caused by special pathogens such as Mycobacterium tuberculosis, as well as factors such as drugs and systemic diseases. There is evidence that some infections (such as chlamydia infection) can directly lead to chronic epididymitis. Chronic epididymitis caused by prolonged acute infection has been recognized by scholars. Urinary tract infection is a potential cause of chronic epididymitis. For patients with mild symptoms and short duration, they can wait and observe. Elevating the scrotum, local hot compresses, hot water baths, physical therapy, etc. can relieve symptoms. At the same time, pay attention to avoid factors that induce and aggravate, such as excessive sexual intercourse, long-term riding, etc. Antibiotics are the most commonly used treatment drugs, but there is currently no clear treatment plan. The effect of simply using antibiotics for chronic epididymitis may not be ideal. If you have chronic prostatitis, you must treat it at the same time. At the same time, you should pay attention to the comprehensive treatment of the prostate. For recurrent epididymitis caused by chronic prostatitis, vasectomy may be considered before treatment. If the local pain is severe, recurrent, and affects life and work, epididymectomy may be considered as the last resort to relieve symptoms. |
