What are the dangers of prostate hyperplasia in men

Men's diseases have similarities with women's diseases, but they differ in reproductive diseases. Reproductive diseases that men are prone to are manifested in the glans penis, testicles, etc., while some diseases are in the genitals. For example, prostate hyperplasia is a complex disease. Its etiology and symptoms are difficult for many patients to understand. After the disease occurs, it is easy to ignore the disease and not treat it in time. At this time, it is easy to cause the harm of prostate hyperplasia in men. So what are the harms of prostate hyperplasia in men?

Prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), formerly known as prostatic hypertrophy, is one of the common diseases in elderly men and a benign lesion of the prostate. The cause of the disease is related to the imbalance of androgen and estrogen in the human body. The lesion originates from the glandular tissue, connective tissue and smooth muscle tissue of the middle lobe or lateral lobe under the mucosa of the posterior urethra, forming mixed spherical nodules. The hyperplasia of the lateral and middle lobes is obvious, protruding into the bladder or urethra, compressing the bladder neck or urethra, causing lower urinary tract obstruction. When prostatic hyperplasia causes obstruction, the bladder detrusor thickens, and trabeculae, cavities and diverticula appear in the mucosa. Long-term dysuria causes the bladder to be highly dilated, the bladder wall to become thinner, the intra-bladder pressure to increase, and the end of the ureter loses its valve function, resulting in vesicoureteral reflux.

The main hazards are:

1. Infection Urinary obstruction is a prerequisite for infection, so it is easy to develop bladder neck, posterior urethra and cystitis.

2. Hemorrhoids and rectal prolapse. Difficulty in urination and long-term increase in abdominal pressure can easily lead to complications such as hemorrhoids and rectal prolapse.

3. Acute urinary retention. Acute urinary retention can occur when dysuria is accompanied by congestion and edema of the glands and bladder neck due to factors such as cold, drinking, and fatigue.

4. Hematuria. The surface of prostatic hyperplasia tissue often has dilated and congested venous blood vessels, which can cause varying degrees of painless macroscopic hematuria after rupture.

5. Bladder stones. Bladder stones are easily formed due to urinary obstruction and secondary infection.

6. Uremia. When the degree of obstruction gradually worsens, hydronephrosis and renal insufficiency are likely to occur, leading to clinical symptoms of uremia. In addition, renal hypertension may also occur.

7. When prostate hyperplasia (enlarged prostate) causes dysuria, patients with a history of hypertension are prone to cerebrovascular accidents and heart failure, which should be taken seriously. When prostate hyperplasia obstruction causes obvious accumulation of water in the kidney and ureter, the enlarged kidney can be felt to be tender. When the bladder is full, a cystic mass can be felt in the middle of the lower abdomen. Sometimes the mass in the waist is inflammatory infiltration or swelling around the kidney.

What are the dangers of prostate hyperplasia in men? The hazards can be divided into seven aspects, and the injuries and diseases caused are also more. Middle-aged men should pay attention to this issue. They should first understand the symptoms of genital diseases, judge the early symptoms of prostate hyperplasia, and undergo examination when they are diagnosed with similar symptoms. The scope of the examination is very large, but don't worry that the harm of the disease will appear immediately. As long as the disease is controlled in time, the harm will be stopped.
