For men, itching of the testicular skin is a very common phenomenon, especially for young men. The causes of this symptom are very complex and can be divided into two main factors: external and internal. For example, allergies in the genitals can cause itching. If a person is under long-term mental stress, the scrotal skin can also itch. Of course, it may also be caused by some internal diseases. So what are the treatment methods? First, treatment principles 1. Etiology treatment If you are deficient in riboflavin, you can take riboflavin. If it is caused by fungi, use topical antifungal drugs. 2. Symptomatic treatment For external use, such as ice cream, gently rub the itchy area. Generally, the itching can be eliminated two or three times, and the effect will last for a few days. Second, check 1. Scrotal examination The examination of the scrotum can be performed by a specialist, mainly including scrotal imaging and cremaster reflex. Self-examination can also be done to help detect diseases at an early stage. 2. Scrotal ultrasound There are generally two methods for scrotal ultrasound scanning: (1) Longitudinal scanning: Use the index and thumb of the left hand to properly fix the testicle and perform a longitudinal multi-plane scan to show the ultrasound structure of the testicle, epididymis head and tail, and part of the spermatic cord. (2) Perform a transverse scan to compare the scrotal skin, testicles, and epididymis to observe the shape, size, and internal echo of the testicles, and to observe whether there is fluid in the tunica vaginalis around the testicles and whether the echo is abnormal. Third, differential diagnosis 1. Scrotal swelling It refers to the lesions of the scrotal skin and its contents (the tunica testis, epididymis and spermatic cord), or the descent of abdominal contents (ascites and viscera) into the scrotum, causing the scrotal volume to increase. 2. Scrotal eczema Small white bumps on the scrotum may be an important symptom of scrotal eczema, the most common type of eczema, which is limited to the scrotal skin, sometimes extending to the anus, and rarely to the penis. This disease is severely itchy, the rash is polymorphic, and it is easy to relapse. It can be treated. To achieve the goal of radical cure, personal hygiene needs to be paid attention to, medication is taken regularly, and family members should be avoided from being infected. 3. Scrotal prolapse Orchitis and epididymitis are common causes of scrotal prolapse. There is usually an acute attack of fever, acute swelling of the epididymis and testicles, and pain, which then turns into a chronic condition, followed by prolapse pain, which is sometimes mild and sometimes severe. Sometimes the patient can feel a small painful nodule in the scrotum. |
