Men’s sad things, six factors can make men impotent!

Among all the male diseases, the most painful thing for men is impotence, especially when facing the woman they like. The inner torture is really worse than death. In fact, the vast majority of patients are not caused by reproductive organ diseases, but other factors from themselves. So, what other reasons can cause men to have impotence?

Depression

The changes in a series of biochemical factors caused by depression may affect the blood supply to the penis and lead to the inability to obtain and maintain an erection by blocking the communication between brain cells. The emergence of sexual problems affects the patient's mood and sexual enjoyment, which in turn can aggravate depression.

diabetes

It is currently believed that ED caused by diabetes is the result of the interaction of multiple factors such as vascular, neurological and psychological factors.

Concomitant medications

It is currently believed that 25% of ED patients are related to clinical medication. According to the International Journal of Sexual Medicine, hair growth drugs for male hair loss or drugs for prostate hypertrophy may not only inhibit erectile function, but also sexual desire.

Cycling

As early as 2005, a study published in the International Journal of Sexual Medicine showed that long-distance cycling can also increase the risk of ED. It is said that this may be because sitting in a narrow seat for a long time compresses the nerves and blood vessels leading to the penis, causing a certain degree of damage, and finally affecting the blood supply.

High blood pressure

Hypertension is the most likely cause of male ED. On the one hand, uncontrolled high blood pressure can damage blood vessels and cause arteriosclerosis, thus affecting the rapid blood supply when needed; on the other hand, antihypertensive drugs such as beta-blockers and diuretics can also increase the risk of ED. Clinically, it is found that the incidence of ED is on the rise with increasing age and worsening of arteriosclerosis.

Neurological disease

Neurological diseases such as multiple sclerosis and spinal cord nuclear injury can cause male erectile dysfunction. In addition, other diseases at the spinal cord level such as spinal cord bifida, intervertebral disc herniation, syringomyelia, spinal cord tumors, etc. can affect the afferent and efferent nerve pathways, leading to erectile dysfunction ED. Diseases at the brain level such as cerebrovascular accidents, Parkinson's syndrome, and trauma may cause dysfunction of the hypothalamus center or excessive inhibition of the spinal cord center, causing erectile dysfunction.
