Why do men suddenly have nipple pain?

Don't think that men won't have breast hyperplasia or breast cancer. In fact, men's breasts can also develop diseases. So why do men suddenly have nipple pain? Male nipple pain may be caused by endocrine disorders, or it may be a sign of breast hyperplasia, inflammation or even cancer. The following editor will introduce you to the situation of male nipple pain.

Why do men have nipple pain?

Men also have the problem of breast hyperplasia. The causes of male nipple pain are similar to those of women. It is mainly due to endocrine disorders caused by liver disease or drug factors, which cause imbalance of hormone concentration in the blood, thus leading to breast hyperplasia. In the early stage of the disease, one or both breasts of men will increase rapidly, accompanied by local pain and swelling. X-rays show the distribution of glandular tissue.

Because men have small breasts, it is easy to detect small foreign bodies in their breasts. Therefore, compared with women, as long as they pay more attention to it, it is easier for men to find problems early when they find breast changes. When men have the following breast problems, they should go to the hospital for further examination as soon as possible. Dangerous signs of male nipple pain:

1. Lumps and swelling. The main symptom of male breast cancer is breast lumps that often occur around the areola, are hard in texture, have unclear boundaries, are often not smooth in surface, and have poor mobility.

2. Breast skin is sunken, nipples are inverted, and occasionally accompanied by nipple bleeding. The pain is sometimes not very obvious, but if the nipple is found to be retracted and the skin is involved, you should be alert.

3. Enlarged lymph nodes. The biggest feature of breast tumors is that they are easy to metastasize, so if you find that the lymph nodes under your armpits are enlarged for a long time, you should be especially careful.

What causes lumps on male nipples?

Breast development is generally the first sexual phenomenon that occurs in girls during puberty. This is mainly due to the high level of estrogen secreted by the female ovaries, which stimulates the development of the mammary gland alveoli and mammary gland ducts, causing the breasts to bulge. However, some boys who have reached puberty may occasionally feel a little pain in their breasts. When they touch them carefully, they may find lumps in their breasts, which makes them feel anxious.

In fact, breast lumps during male puberty are normal physiological changes. Breasts are mainly composed of mammary tissue, fat and connective tissue. There are special structures on the surface of mammary cells that can recognize and accept estrogen.

After the cell receptors bind, the metabolism of the breast cells becomes active, causing breast cells to proliferate and the breasts to grow and bulge. When male adolescents enter puberty, the testicles secrete a small amount of estrogen while producing androgens, but of course the amount is very small. Estrogen causes the breast cells in the nipple area to proliferate continuously, leading to the formation of lumps in the breast. Breast lumps in adolescent boys are often limited to the area under the nipple, and sometimes they are painful to touch.

According to a survey, among male adolescents aged 13-15, 1/3-2/3 of them have nipple protrusion on one or both sides, increased diameter of areola, and pigmentation, but less than 1/5 of them have breast lumps. Some boys don't care about the subtle changes that happen to them, and may not have noticed the changes in their breasts. Since the increase in estrogen during puberty is temporary, such breast lumps usually disappear on their own after a few months to a year. Therefore, neither boys nor parents need to feel embarrassed or uneasy.
