Erectile Dysfunction Diagnosis and Treatment

Erectile Dysfunction Diagnosis and Treatment

Impotence is a symptom that affects male physiological functions. It causes men to be unable to exert their masculine strength in their married life, and it makes it impossible for both parties to reach a state of satisfaction. Therefore, it has a huge impact on male psychology and the relationship between husband and wife. Impotence needs to be treated in time, otherwise it will become more serious. However, treatment must not be carried out blindly. Let's take a look at the misunderstandings in the diagnosis and treatment of impotence.

1. Simply divide impotence into 'psychological' and 'organic'

There are many reasons for impotence, both psychological and organic. The two cannot be separated but work at the same time. Sometimes psychological factors are very difficult to treat, and it requires the joint efforts of psychologists and andrologists to achieve it.

2. The purpose of treatment is unclear, and the patient is blindly seeking to "cure the root cause".

At present, scholars at home and abroad have a very clear goal for the treatment of impotence, and the most important point is to be able to complete sexual life with satisfaction. Whether it is taking medicine or surgical treatment, the ultimate goal is to make the penis erect to complete sexual intercourse. Some impotence (such as some cases of unsuccessful first sexual intercourse) can generally be "rooted" through short-term treatment. However, some impotence is caused by a chronic neurovascular disease, and its "root" is not clear and cannot be removed. At this time, the treatment goal is to find ways to complete sexual intercourse rather than blindly "find the root cause of the disease and remove it."

3. Blindly over-examine in order to find the cause of the disease

Current medical technology cannot clearly identify the causes of impotence, and even if the causes are clear, there is no corresponding treatment. To put it bluntly, although the causes are different, the treatment methods are sometimes not much different. Examinations are for treatment. Blind examinations for the purpose of finding the cause are not only labor-intensive and costly, but also easily cause unnecessary medical damage.

4. Not accepting on-demand treatment

On-demand treatment means that some treatment drugs are taken temporarily before sexual intercourse. This method of taking medicine seems like "treatment on demand", but it is actually a more reasonable treatment method, which is both economical and practical. I think that some drugs are generally not necessary to be taken for a long time on a regular basis.
