What ointment should men use for anal itching

Most of the cases of anal itching in men are caused by two reasons: hemorrhoids and urinary tract infection. Common drugs for treating anal itching include diphenhydramine, hydrocortisone, sodium thiosulfate, and antibiotics for anti-inflammatory treatment. However, the first thing to pay attention to is to maintain the hygiene of the anus. You can use some important fumigation to wash the anus to avoid more serious infection. If the anus itches, remember not to squeeze it or wash it with hot water, as it will not achieve the purpose of sterilization.

There are two concepts of anal pruritus: broad and narrow.

In a broad sense, anal pruritus refers to itching of the anal skin, which often requires scratching.

In a narrow sense, anal pruritus refers to persistent itching of the anal canal, the skin around the anus and the perineal skin without any primary damage.

This disease is called "wind itch", "anal itch" and "anal itch" in Chinese medicine. The cause is believed to be exogenous wind evil, blood deficiency and wind. Modern medicine believes that the causes of anal itch are systemic and local.

(2) Liver and kidney diseases: chronic renal failure caused by obstructive biliary disease, biliary cirrhosis, chronic pyelonephritis and chronic glomerulonephritis.

(3) Blood diseases: iron deficiency anemia, polycythemia.

(4) Gastrointestinal diseases: chronic and acute diarrhea, constipation, gastrointestinal neurosis, etc.

2. Local factors

(1) Skin lesions: Anal eczema, dermatitis, warts, ringworms, sexually transmitted diseases, and the accumulation of fat and protein secreted by the sebaceous glands, and feces retained in the skin folds around the anus. Contact with foreign objects (animal hair, plant hair, glass fiber, dry and hard paper and ink, etc.) and excessive sweating can also cause anal itching.

(2) Anorectal and perineal diseases: hemorrhoids, anal fissures, anal fistulas, anal sinusitis, hypertrophic anal papillae, rectal prolapse, villous papilloma, adenoma, rectal cancer; vaginitis, vaginal discharge, urethritis, prostatitis, etc.

(3) Skin parasites and infections: scabies, pubic lice, fungi, and trichomonas infections. 3. Classification Anal pruritus can be divided into primary pruritus and secondary pruritus.

4. Treatment: The cause should be targeted, the primary cause and systemic diseases should be cured, and the anus should be properly treated. For example, if itching is caused by hemorrhoids, anal fistulas, anal fissures, or rectal prolapse, the hemorrhoids, anal fissures, and anal fistulas should be cured. If itching is caused by ticks, the ticks should be expelled.

(1) Commonly used external medications include skin loosening cream, prednisone, hydrocortisone ointment, calcinate lotion, Chinese medicine anti-itching powder, or an ointment made of 1 gram of carbolic acid, 50 grams of white mercury, 0.5 grams of mint, and 3 grams of benzocaine, all of which have an anti-itching effect. However, they may not be a complete cure.

(2) Application of antihistamines: diphenhydramine, promethazine, etc. can be used. Vitamin C, calcium, sodium thiosulfate, etc. can also be used according to the condition.

(3) Local occlusion: Hydrocortisone, dexamethasone or prednisolone can be used for local occlusion. They have a good antipruritic effect.

(4) For local infections caused by scratching or other reasons, antibiotics should be used for anti-inflammatory treatment.

(5) Fumigation: Commonly used medicines include Sophora flavescens, Kochia chinensis, Cnidium monnieri, Stemona tuberosa, Rhubarb, Alum, Saposhnikovia divaricata, Chrysanthemum indica, Dictamni, Gallnut, Atractylodes macrocephala, Garlic, etc. Fumigation with decoction can also relieve itching and relieve symptoms. 5.
