There is no obvious difference between scabies and eczema!

Some people believe that eczema and scabies have similar symptoms, such as itchy skin, rashes and blisters, etc. Experts point out that this view is a clear cognitive error. Clinically, eczema and scabies are two different diseases, and the symptoms are also very different. Here is a brief introduction to the obvious differences between the two diseases.

Eczema is more common on the limbs

The symptoms are thickening and roughening of the skin, which may be lichen-like, desquamating, pigmentation, and spontaneous itching. It often occurs acutely, and the course of the disease can last for several months to several years. In the treatment of acute eczema, when the redness and swelling are obvious or there is a lot of exudate, 34% boric acid solution or 5% aluminum acetate solution can be applied wet. For erythema, papules or blisters, calamine lotion or vibrating lotion can be applied. Chronic eczema can be applied externally with 35% bran oil ointment. When the oral range is small and there is no exudate, dexamethasone cream or skin-lightening ointment can be applied externally. Oral medications include diphenhydramine, phenagar, cyproheptadine, etc. Chinese medicine also has a certain effect in treating eczema.

Symptoms of scabies

Scabies, also known as itch, is a skin parasitic disease caused by scabies invading the human skin. It is highly contagious and can easily spread among families and contacts. It can affect men, women, old and young. Scabies like to invade and parasitize on thin and soft parts of the skin, such as the fingers, wrists, groin, inner thighs, etc. After scabies penetrate the skin, they feed on the keratinous tissue of the skin, eat out a tunnel, and lay eggs in it. Rice-sized papules, blisters and tunnels appear on the skin. Tunnels are small black lines, about 23 mm long, and often have small blisters at the end. Scabies often live in these blisters. The skin feels very itchy, which is more obvious at night.
